WHY THIS SHOULD MATTER TO YOU.
We want to speak directly to you and those whose lives have been impacted by the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction. Many of us have relatives, colleagues, friends, and employees who struggle with addiction. These are people who we care about, and they are in need as they struggle.
WHERE DO PEOPLE TURN?
Where do these people turn in their hour of desperation seeking to escape the grip of Alcoholism and chemical dependency? For many this place is The Triangle Club, a safe haven, refuge and a destination for those seeking help, answers and support to get through another 24 hours.
The Triangle Club is open from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm every day of the year as a site for meetings for 12 Step recovery programs. The Club hosts over 40 meetings a week, attended by hundreds of people every day. The Triangle Club is in need of capital funds that will insure that the facility can remain functioning and operational in central Palm Beach County for decades.
HOW WILL YOUR DONATION BE SPENT?
All donations will be used exclusively for the capital needs and maintenance of the facility. Projects requiring immediate investment include air conditioning, roof, electric, and structural to name the most pressing. We also hope to upgrade the entrances, improve safety and enhance the usability of the property. The ultimate goal of the Hamilton Foundation is to create a fund where annual distribution of fund earnings will cover basic repair and maintenance expenses (Historically $30,000-$50,000 year.) Contributions to the Harry Hamilton Foundation are maintained at and managed by The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties.
WHY DO PEOPLE GIVE?
This is a simple question with a complex answer. The Harry Hamilton Foundation wants to “Keep it Simple” -- in the world of addiction we see our mission as black and white and, in many cases, Life and Death. People give out of the goodness of their hearts. They understand that by giving they are part of the solution and derive a feeling of connection to the world. There are financial benefits which can also be a part of the conversation. Invite us to speak with your Accountant, Attorney, Banks and Trust Companies to explain. Often our donors give to acknowledge the richness of their own lives, to honor and support the benefits of 12 Step programs to those they love, and to support a charity that helps so many members of the community.
WHY YOU SHOULD CONSIDER GIVING
Whether you are an individual, family or a Trust, we ask that you consider The HHF and The Triangle Club as a worthy beneficiary of your gifts. Stop and ask yourself if there is someone you know who was once beyond hope, or someone who may now need guidance out of addiction. Many of these unfortunate people have exhausted the goodwill and financial support of all their friends and family. They no longer have a place to turn. Yes, they have been written off and have little chance of recovery.
These are the people who through the grace of God find their way to the open doors of The Triangle Club. We ask your help to make sure the DOORS are OPEN when they are ready.
METHOD OF GIVING
If you are an individual and have a will or a trust or manage a Trust for others, we ask that you add the Harry Hamilton Foundation in your estate planning. If you are writing checks for another charity, please consider us. If the opportunity presents itself, please educate your client about this vital facility. Addiction touches virtually everyone’s lives. If your Trust is seeking a high value and worthy recipient, then The HHF and Triangle Club should have a place in your distribution.
LEGACY DONATION
A Legacy Gift honors individuals and families who have made a lasting commitment to our community by making provisions in their estate plans to provide a legacy gift to the Harry Hamilton Foundation through the Community Foundation. The Hamilton Foundation also accepts staged donations with pledges to be completed over periods up to five years. A legacy gift can include bequests, retirement assets, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trust, gifts of life insurance, or any other type of charitable planned gift. Named type giving is a possibility for significant bequests.
Come & See the Difference We Make.
Many of our donors take the time to visit us. Once they see how we impact
lives on a daily basis, they get on board. We hope you will visit us!
FootNote: The Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin County only allows a specific number of charities to be managed by them. We are honored to be included in this highly regarded group.
